Here, we rely on hysteresis to make our oscillator run. I did this, and told Firefox to forget hackaday. The high output and low input causes current to flow through the resistor which slowly charges up the capacitor until the input voltage is higher than the high threshold, when the logic switches state and dataseet output goes low.

Which pole goes to power? Instead of wiggling imperceptibly around one switching threshold, we have two thresholds.
