I hope the art will pick up but the story and setup is amazing. I really found myself feeling for the Elephantmen featured in this first book, even the clear villain and I wanted them to have better lives than they had.

This is a fantastic compilation and an intriguing look at a dystopian future and humanity’s reaction to the Other.

The artwork is striking but a couple of the issues’ have some wobbly line work, which is somewhat odd given the excellent design and sumptuous colouring. The result is years of Afro-Sino War.

You are being invited into this fictional world by being asked to respond as any human would. They can’t fit in, and there are the memories She has never failed to steer me toward incredible stories and this is certainly no exception. The stories are loosely connected, some being much more interesting than others. The book manages to remain fun and let the silliness of its world stand as it is, but is still more than capable of being serious and grim.
